Our Story

The Jeremiah Fund was created after direct conversations with individuals graduating from recovery programs.

In May 2025, board members attended the San Diego Rescue Mission Spring Academy Graduation, where 48 men and women completed a 12-month faith-based recovery program.

These Graduates had:

Prepared themselves for independent living

But when asked about their future, the answers were consistent.

Three Questions Were Asked

1. What is your greatest challenge moving forward?

Ans: Finding affordable housing is our biggest challenge.

2. What are your greatest fears?

Ans: Our greatest fear is not having a place to live.

3. What kind of help would make the biggest difference?

Ans: Help with rent would change everything.

Those conversations directly shaped the creation of the Jeremiah Fund.

Guiding Scripture & Inspiration

The name and mission of the Jeremiah Fund are inspired by the promise found in scripture:

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

This verse reflects the organization’s belief that every person deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life and pursue a hopeful future.

The Jeremiah Fund was built by people who chose to listen first and act second.
